  • Set of 4 different designs (4 cards total, each with 1 of 4 designs on them) in an envelope with a description of the art in English and Japanese.

  • 2-color risograph printed on heavy black card stock

    • Note that it is black card stock so to send in the mail you’ll need to:

      • Use white labels for addresses

      • Use white (or your preferred color) pen for writing personal messages

      • Note that your return address need not be dark ink on white.

  • Printed by local Tokyo printshop

  • Ships in protective packaging

About the Design

2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, symbolizing energy, momentum, and freedom.

In Japan, it’s customary to send nengajo (New Year’s cards) featuring the year’s zodiac animal to friends, family, and colleagues. Horses are one of the most cherished zodiac symbols — spirited, graceful, and full of vitality.

This year’s cards are printed using a rich two-color risograph process, with layered hues that bring depth and motion to the equine forms.

Once sold out, this edition will not be reprinted.

The featured images are space holders and do not necessarily reflect the actual final product (which is still being designed).
